Honouring Our Ancestors: Shradh at Sindhi Mandir
Shradh (or Śrāddha in Sanskrit) is a sacred annual event where we pay homage to family members who have passed away. According to scriptures, observing Shradh helps the souls of our ancestors progress to a higher state of existence. This is a poignant and sacred moment in the Hindu calendar to remember our loved ones with fondness and gratitude.
The Sindhi Mandir provides a serene space for our community to offer prayers for departed souls during this time.
Key Event Details
This year, the two-week Shradh period at the Sindhi Mandir will begin on Sunday, 7th September, following the Satnarain Katha at 12 noon.
The Bhog Ceremony, Kirtan, and Langar Prasad will take place on the final day, Sunday, 21st September, from 6:00 pm. During this time, we will also read the names of those being honoured.
We warmly welcome your participation in this special event.
